Weggeefkast

Client: Stichting Uit de Buurtfabriek for Bewonersvereniging de Bergen

The "Weggeefkast" is a furniture installed in the center of Eindhoven, it is meant to offer homeless a place to find clothes, food and more supplies the neighbours are sharing.

I designed the furniture thanks to a picture found on the website "Eindhoven in beeld". On the a picture you can see the house that was previously standing on the new location of the "Weggeefkast".
Wood and metal are recycled from an old school building and each handles are a uniques designs made by 5 different volunteers of Stichting Uit de Buurtfabriek.
A beautiful collaboration!
