Wishing trees

Type: Social Furniture

Client: Woonbedrijf and Stichting Uit de Buurtfabriek for Samen voor Eindhoven

Date: March 2016 and February 2021

The first wishing tree was originally designed for Woonbedrijf and their brand new neighbourhood in Gestel, Eindhoven. Each neighbours were welcome to hang wishes for their new surroundings on green papers, the leaves.

Five years later, Samen voor Eindhoven orders 20 trees for different retirement homes in Eindhoven and surroundings. A second design comes to complete the first one, to adapt to the different buildings. Here the inhabitants of the homes use it for every holidays decorations as well as for hanging wishes.
